Our client in the south Etobicoke area is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Walkie Operator to join their team team.
Shift: Monday to Friday 6am-230pm
*Must be able to work in a cold environment with meat products*
Please note 70% of the time you will be doing GL/Production duties and 30% Forklift
Duties
- Keep the production cooler organized and clean
- Manage stock rotation and move products from tempering/freezing
- Use the Walkie to transport and pick materials within the facility
- Verify product conditions and expiration codes
- Accurately document inventory and shipping transactions
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly inventory counts
- Assist with packing, wrapping and labelling products
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Previous shipping/receiving experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating the Walkie
- Must have previous experience working in a cold environment and/or meat facility
- Must have a valid forklift licence
- Must be able to work in a cold environment
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order processing tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
