Overview
We are seeking an experienced Metal Polisher to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in metal finishing, machining, and quality control, with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced equipment and contribute to high-quality metal products in a dynamic production environment.
Duties
- Perform surface finishing and polishing of metal components to meet specified quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure precise polishing and finishing
- Operate CNC machines including CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, and press brake machine for shaping and finishing parts
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and polishing equipment to achieve desired surface finishes
- Conduct quality control inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify dimensions and surface quality
- Assist with welding tasks such as MIG welding when necessary for assembly or repair projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
- Support manufacturing processes by understanding mechanical systems, PLCs, and automation controls when required
- Collaborate with team members on assembly, machining, and warehouse operations to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a metal polisher or in a similar manufacturing role involving metal finishing
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in blueprint reading, CNC programming, and machining processes
- Skilled in welding techniques including MIG welding; experience with welding inspection is a plus
- Ability to operate machinery such as press brake machines, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, and other manufacturing equipment
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, and quality control measurement devices
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and warehouse operations is advantageous
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during machining and polishing tasks
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software is beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
