Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mig and Stick Welder, licensed in scissor lift operation, to join our manufacturing and construction team. This role requires a professional with strong welding expertise and mechanical knowledge to perform precise fabrication and assembly tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in rigging, blueprint reading, and the use of various hand and power tools. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects involving ductwork, structural components, and machinery assembly in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and Stick welding on various materials following detailed schematics and blueprints
- Operate scissor lifts safely while adhering to all safety protocols
- Conduct plasma cutting, press brake machine operations, and machining tasks as needed
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, and schematics for precise fabrication and assembly
- Assist with rigging, lifting, and positioning materials using cranes or forklifts
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during welding or assembly processes
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety standards and proper tool maintenance
- Support manufacturing or construction projects involving ductwork, structural steel, or other components
Qualifications
- Valid license for operating a scissor lift required; forklift certification preferred
- Proven experience in MIG welding, TIG welding is a plus; stick welding expertise required
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining, plasma cutting, press brake operation, and schematics reading
- Ability to use calipers, hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for precise measurements and fabrication
- Knowledge of rigging techniques and crane operation is desirable
- Experience working with ductwork, structural steel, or construction materials preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for fabrication tasks
- Strong safety awareness with the ability to operate equipment such as forklifts responsibly
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $25.00-$28.70 per hour
