Position Overview
This role supports research, analysis, reporting, and strategic initiatives across client-facing and internal projects. This role is responsible for conducting technical and analytical research, preparing reports and assessments, evaluating development and infrastructure opportunities, and supporting data-driven decision-making across multidisciplinary projects.
Projects may include feasibility studies, socio-economic assessments, market and regulatory research, Indigenous participation analysis, infrastructure evaluations, and client deliverables related to energy, infrastructure, land, environmental, transmission, pipeline, battery storage, and development initiatives.
The role also supports innovation and modernization initiatives through development of reporting tools, dashboards, automation workflows, and analytical solutions that improve project delivery and operational efficiency.
As a Business Analyst, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Conduct research and analysis related to energy, infrastructure, environmental, land, Indigenous engagement, and development projects.

Prepare technical and non-technical reports, feasibility studies, economic assessments, strategic evaluations, presentations, and client deliverables

Analyze operational, technical, financial, regulatory, and project-related data to support reporting and decision-making.

Translate complex technical and operational information into clear, concise, and actionable reporting materials for clients and stakeholders.

Support Indigenous participation, procurement, consultation, and socio-economic analysis activities associated with projects and initiatives.

Assist with proposal preparation, project documentation, presentation materials, and supporting analytical content.

Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting systems, analytical tools, and visualizations to support project delivery and operational reporting.

Support data collection, validation, transformation, and management activities across projects and operational initiatives.

Assist with workflow analysis, process improvement initiatives, and development of operational and reporting efficiencies.

Support implementation of automation, digital transformation, and innovation initiatives across projects and business operations.

Assist with integration of systems, databases, APIs, mapping platforms, and analytical tools to improve reporting and information management capabilities.

Research and evaluate emerging technologies, analytical methodologies, and operational tools to support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Demonstrate a strong commitment to personal and team safety by closely following company safety policies, standards, and procedures.

Assist with other responsibilities as needed to contribute to the overall success of the team.
We are looking for the following skills and qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in related discipline

1 - 5 years of experience in a related field

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Experience in technical writing, report development, and preparation of client-facing deliverables

Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize complex technical, operational, and business information into clear recommendations and reporting materials

Experience supporting multidisciplinary projects and managing multiple priorities simultaneously

Familiarity with research, strategic assessments, feasibility evaluations, and analytical reporting
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and reporting/visualization platforms such as Microsoft Power BI
-
Experience in energy, infrastructure, environmental, land, Indigenous engagement, engineering, utilities, or development-related industries is considered an asset
-
Experience with data analysis, automation tools, databases, APIs, or analytical workflows is considered an asset
-
Experience with SQL, Python, Power Query, Power BI, or similar analytical and data management tools is considered an asset.
