Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Technician to join our team. As an Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of industrial equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Use power tools and specialized equipment to assemble, disassemble, and install machinery
- Conduct electrical and mechanical repairs as needed
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and cranes
- Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot complex issues
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing equipment-related concerns promptly and professionally
-Work with apprentices to diagnose repairs and training
Experience:
- Previous experience working as an Equipment Technician or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for equipment repair and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues
- Welding skills for fabrication or repair work is a plus
- Familiarity with industrial equipment operation and safety protocols
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
