We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and framing, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This role involves constructing frameworks for buildings, ensuring structural integrity, and adhering to safety standards. A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.
Duties
- Construct and assemble wooden frameworks for buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs.
- Interpret and work from blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate construction.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete framing projects.
- Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged framing components.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Ability to take instructions/direction from foremen and apply it to the job
Skills
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to use hand tools (such as hammers, saws, levels) effectively.
- Attend safety training courses as required/needed.
- Competence in operating power tools safely and efficiently.
- Previous experience as a carpenter or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during framing operations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Positive morale/attitude is required, as well as respect for those in positions above.
