Primary Responsibilities:
Initiate and maintain polite/friendly patient communications during patient registration, triaging and follow-ups.
Ensure patients rooms are prepared, cleaned and stocked with adequate medical supplies and that instruments are cleaned and ready for use as per clinic policies on sanitization and sterilization of equipment (training provided).
Maintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times.
Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming medical supplies.
Provide assistance to the receptionist as needed.
Ensure required patient forms are properly filled, distributed and documented as per clinic policies.
Proficiency on Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Software (training provided)
Secondary Responsibilities:
Opportunity to learn reception and learn medical orthopaedic retail. Measure and Fit Compression stockings and Orthopaedic Footwear (training provided).
Consult on footwear options for foot deformity/concerns (training provided).
Qualifications:
High school diploma minimum.
Fitness to stand the majority of an active work day, likely over 8,000 steps.
Medical Office Assistant (MOA) diploma an asset (not required).
Relevant experience in an office or customer service environment.
Proficiency with computer software.
Sincere enjoyment to work with public and provide care to those in need *. Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English. Able to follow instructions correctly.
Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance.
Punctual with strong attendance history.
Hours: 5 days/week (Monday,Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday), 35-38 hours/week.
