At CLAY Design, Construction & Cabinetry, we've spent over 30 years designing and building exceptional residential and commercial spaces. We're the only renovation company in the London area with an integrated design team, showroom, and custom cabinet shop.
Our shop creates custom kitchens, vanities, built-ins, furniture, and architectural millwork. Every project is different, making this an ideal role for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys custom work.
Position Summary
We're looking for an experienced Cabinetmaker to fabricate, assemble, and install custom cabinetry and millwork. You'll work closely with our design, operations, and construction teams to deliver exceptional quality on every project.
Responsibilities
- Build, assemble, repair, and finish custom cabinetry and millwork.
- Read and interpret shop drawings and specifications.
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and accurately.
- Work with hardwoods, plywoods, laminates, veneers, hardware, and specialty materials.
- Install cabinetry and millwork on-site as required.
- Maintain high quality standards throughout fabrication and installation.
- Collaborate with designers, project manager, and site staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Track project progress and complete required company and safety training.
- Follow all company policies and Health & Safety procedures.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certificate of Qualification (438A) or Red Seal Cabinetmaker certification or 7+ years of custom cabinetmaking experience.
- Ability to read shop drawings.
- Strong woodworking and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Comfortable using Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, Forms) for communication and timesheets.
Assets
- CNC experience.
- Cabinet installation experience.
- Commercial millwork experience.
- Experience mentoring apprentices.
