Applications are invited for the position of Part-Time Professor in the Greenhouse Technician program within the School of Environment and Horticulture. This position will commence Fall of 2026 at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus.

Post secondary education in greenhouse production, horticulture, plant science, or a closely related field

Significant, hands-on greenhouse production experience

Ability to teach practical, skills-based labs and greenhouse activities

Working knowledge of environmental control, irrigation systems, fertilization, industry diseases and pest management practices, growing media, pH/EC, and plant physiological responses

Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to students

Commitment to student-centered and inclusive teaching practices

Teaching credentials or coursework in adult education (e.g., B.Ed., M.Ed., or Adult Education Certificate)

Experience with learning management systems (e.g., Brightspace) and organizing applied course materials

Industry certifications or professional affiliations relevant to greenhouse production

Experience working in commercial, research, or teaching greenhouses with diverse crop types

Familiarity with sustainability initiatives, zero-runoff systems, or environmentally responsible greenhouse practices
