Highlight about the Role
We are hiring experienced Machine Bindery Operators to join a fast-paced commercial printing environment.
This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience operating Perfect Binders, Stitchers, Folders, Die Cutters, Dick Moll, or similar bindery equipment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, quality control, and preventative maintenance while producing high-quality printed materials.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot Perfect Binder, Stitcher, Folder, Die Cutter, Dick Moll, and other bindery equipment.
- Read production dockets and work orders to prepare machines according to job specifications.
- Monitor product quality throughout production and ensure work meets customer specifications.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, safety inspections, and preventative checks.
- Complete production records, counts, and shift documentation accurately.
- Train and support Machine Helpers as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with production teams to meet quality and production targets.
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of experience operating bindery equipment in a commercial printing or print manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Perfect Binder, Stitcher, Folder, Die Cutter, Dick Moll, Guillotine, or similar finishing equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment independently.
- Ability to read work orders, follow production procedures, and work with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail, quality, and safety.
- Comfortable working noisy and a fast-paced manufacturing environment and lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Must hold or be eligible to attain Government security screening to secret level
Full-time permanent position + Benefits
Shift - Day and Evening shifts. (Evening hiring being more urgent)
Successful candidates will complete a background check, references, and required security screening.
