We are currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator (Maternity Leave Coverage) to join our team. This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of Human Resources, Safety, Recruitment, and Employee Relations.
Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Overtime as required)
Location: Mission, BC
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO to support and strengthen the Human Resources function at VIP.
- Support the development and evolution of company culture aligned with our Vision and Mission.
- Coordinate health and safety programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Gather employee feedback through surveys and other engagement initiatives and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Respond to HR-related inquiries and provide support to employees and management.
- Maintain employee records, including payroll, personal information, leaves, and turnover data.
- Liaise with payroll, benefits providers, and other departments as required.
- Support recruitment activities, including sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting reference checks, and preparing employment offers.
- Assist supervisors with performance management processes.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, orientations, training sessions, and HR-related events.
- Prepare reports and maintain HR documentation.
- Participate in special HR projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Human Resources, HR Administration, or a related role.
- Working knowledge of HR practices, employment legislation, and recruitment processes.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with applicant sourcing platforms and social media recruiting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks and TelPay is considered an asset.
