We are seeking a dedicated Scaffolding Yard Associate to join our scaffolding distribution team. This hands-on role focuses on handling, inspecting, preparing, and staging scaffold components for shipping and site delivery. The ideal candidate has warehouse and telehandler experience, mechanical aptitude, and a strong commitment to safety and proper product care.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, stage, and prepare scaffold components and accessories accurately using the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Inspect parts for damage, wear, and compliance with company and manufacturer standards; tag and report defects.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers, securely blocking and bracing scaffold materials for transport.
- Operate telehandlers, order pickers, and other equipment to move frames, decks, tubes, and fittings safely.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, stock replenishment, and accurate bin/rack labeling specific to scaffold systems.
- Assemble/disassemble basic scaffold modules for quality checks, staging, or returns processing as required.
- Maintain yard organization and cleanliness—stacking, securing, and protecting components to prevent damage.
- Follow all site and manufacturer safety procedures when handling components, including PPE use and secure lifting techniques.
- Support dispatch/shipping coordination to meet delivery schedules and load sequencing for jobsite installs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Prior warehouse, distribution, or yard experience; experience with scaffolding components strongly preferred.
- Valid telehandler/operator certification and demonstrated safe operation, order pickers, or similar equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Familiarity with WMS or inventory systems for order picking and cycle counting.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to follow manufacturer-specific handling procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment and quickly follow instruction.
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather and stand, climb, bend, and move materials for extended periods.
Preferred
- Previous experience with modular scaffolding systems.
- Basic scaffold assembly/disassembly skills and understanding of scaffold component terminology.
Safety & Physical Requirements
- Must wear required PPE (hard hat, gloves, safety boots, hi-vis vest, eye protection).
- Ability to participate in manual rigging as needed.
- Commitment to following all OSHA/industry safety guidelines and company protocols.

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
