Overview
We are seeking a skilled Epoxy Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing epoxy coatings on various flooring surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes and durability. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with hand tools, and a solid understanding of flooring installation techniques. Previous experience in construction or handyman work is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the aesthetic and functional improvement of commercial and residential spaces.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and repairing as necessary to ensure proper adhesion of epoxy coatings
- Mix epoxy resins and hardeners accurately according to manufacturer specifications
- Apply epoxy coatings using appropriate tools such as rollers, brushes, or trowels to achieve smooth, even surfaces
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications
- Ensure proper surface leveling and finishing techniques for a professional appearance
- Use hand tools and carpentry skills for surface preparation and minor repairs
- Follow safety protocols including caulking, sealing, and handling hazardous materials responsibly
- Coordinate with project managers and team members to meet project timelines and quality standards
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials after use
Experience
- Prior experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or epoxy coating preferred
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and construction plans is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, carpentry, caulking, and general handyman tasks required
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures is essential
- Previous work involving flooring or surface preparation will be considered a strong asset
