About Aux Crochets
Aux Crochets is a French-inspired fine dining restaurant opening in Grand Bend in March 2026. We’re building an elevated dining experience rooted in precision, hospitality, and storytelling. Our 65-seat restaurant pairs classical French technique with seasonal, local ingredients, supported by a thoughtful wine and cocktail program.
We’re looking for a full-time Bartender who can deliver calm, confident service, execute a consistent cocktail program, and elevate the guest experience at the bar and throughout the dining room.
The Role
As the Bartender at Aux Crochets, you’ll be responsible for beverage execution and bar hospitality during lunch and dinner service. You’ll work closely with servers and the kitchen to keep timing tight, standards high, and guest experience seamless.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bar Service & Hospitality: Deliver warm, polished hospitality to bar guests and support dining room beverage service
- Cocktail Execution: Prepare cocktails with consistency, speed, and precision; follow recipes and specs exactly
- Wine & Beverage Knowledge: Confidently guide guests through wine-by-the-glass, bottle selections, aperitifs/digestifs, and pairings
- Service Timing: Coordinate with servers and the kitchen to maintain pacing, especially during peak turns
- Mise en Place: Set up the bar for service (juices, syrups, garnishes, glassware, ice, tools) and maintain organization throughout
- Quality Control: Maintain standards for taste, temperature, dilution, glassware, garnish, and presentation
- Cleanliness & Compliance: Maintain a spotless bar, follow health and safety standards, and ensure responsible alcohol service
- Opening & Closing: Execute opening/closing checklists, cash-out procedures, and end-of-night breakdown
- Teamwork: Communicate clearly, support the FOH team, and step in where needed during high-volume service
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in training, tastings, and refining the beverage program as it evolves
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience:
- Preferred, 2 years bartending experience in upscale casual or fine dining
- Strong cocktail fundamentals (classic builds, balance, technique, speed, consistency)
- Working knowledge of wine (basic regions/varietals, pairing logic, service standards)
- Comfort with POS systems and high-volume service flow

- Experience building bar mise systems and prep lists
