As a result of growth, Roots of Resilience Charter School is currently recruiting full-time probationary Elementary and Junior High Teachers generalists with a range of experience, for the 2026-2027 school year. If your open to learn a new instructional pedagogy, we are the place for you!

Our school provides a safe, caring, nurturing and inspiring Indigenous learning environment where all students will see themselves and their culture reflected in all aspects of their educational experience. We emphasize Indigenous pedagogies and emphasize an approach to learning, which integrates Indigenous and Western ways of knowing (Two-Eyed Seeing). Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging learning opportunities that align with the Alberta Program of Studies and our Charter goals
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Foster students' personal growth, confidence, and self-esteem through culturally relevant teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student learning and well-being.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Professional Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in education.
- Alberta teaching certification (current or eligible)
- Experience in elementary and junior high school pedagogy
Assets
- Open to learn a new approach to instruction
- Experience in multigrade classrooms
- Experience in Indigenous education and familiarity with Indigenous pedagogies.

Pay: $68,500.00-$115,566.00 per year
