Crown Ridge Health Care Services Inc operates Westgate Lodge Long-Term Care home, located in Belleville, Ontario. Westgate Lodge will be the home to 160 long-term care residents.

Crown Ridge Place is an approved employer through Ontario Health to offer a Recruitment Incentive to recent graduates from PSW programs in Ontario.
This incentive offers $10,000 for a 12-month commitment to work full-time in a Long Term Care home.
To be eligible for this opportunity, applicants must have started employment with Crown Ridge Health Care Services on or after April 1, 2025.
If you have completed an Ontario PSW training program on or after April 1, 2023, we are eager to talk to you about this opportunity!

What will you do.
- Reports to the Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing
- Participates as a member of the home multidisciplinary team to provide care (including hygiene, grooming, dressing, bathing, transferring, toileting, and mobility), assistance, and supervision for residents of the home
- Feeds dependent residents and assists other residents with their meals; provides and serves nourishment between meals.
- Cleaning duties as required
- Observe and report health findings to the registered staff
- Demonstrate good communication skills
- Documentation of care
- Must represent, understand, and be committed to the Mission and Values of the home
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Long-Term Care Homes Act, and their regulations in performing duties safely and following all Crown Ridge Healthcare Health & Safety policies, procedures, and legislations
What will you need.
- PSW certification is required as per the requirements of the Long-Term Care Act and Regulations
- GPA training
- Vulnerable sector check that is less than 6 months old at the time of hire
- TB test steps 1 and 2 proof and 1 step in last 6 months until two step obtained in last year.
- Good communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills in MS Word, Excel, e-mail, internet use, and computerized documentation.
- Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- CPR, First Aid- an asset
