Island Pharmacy in Duncan B.C. is looking for dynamic Nurse to join our growing Medication Administration Program focusing on geriatric and diabetic patients in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island B.C.

This role particularly requires STRONG LEADERSHIP and SUPERVISORY skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and train others as necessary. Relevant experiences are an asset.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Visiting patients in the community
- Administering medications (orally, injections, creams, patches)
- Performing patient specific assessments (ie: Blood glucose monitoring, Blood Pressure monitoring)
- Interpreting assessment data to adjust medications accordingly
- Acting in acute situations according to pre-set company protocols
- Noting changes in behaviour for mental health patients
- Documentation of all interventions and assessment data
- Submitting daily reports to RN and pharmacy
- Following up with RN regarding significant assessment data
- Actively participating in patients’ healthcare outcomes
We are looking for LPNs with the following qualities:

Position Requirements
- Driver's License
- Currently in good standing with CLPNBC
- Criminal Record Check will be requested upon successful offer
Hours:
- Morning (7:00am-3:00pm)
- Monday through Sunday shifts available
- Full-time, Part-time, and Casual positions available
Wages:
- Competitive wages offered and are negotiable
