Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a passion for hospitality. Strong communication skills, familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS, and the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Square POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cashiering responsibilities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist in setting up tables, refilling supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Support team members as needed to maintain smooth restaurant operations
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Experience with food handling, preparation, or kitchen operations is advantageous
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Hospitality background or experience working in guest services is beneficial
