Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a dealership environment and possess strong mechanical knowledge. This role involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Candidates should be comfortable working with various hand and power tools, lifting heavy parts, and performing precise repairs. A background in automotive repair or mechanic experience is highly desirable for this position.
Duties
- Repair and replace damaged vehicle panels, frames, and body parts using specialized tools and techniques
- Assess vehicle damage to determine the best repair approach
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment to perform repairs efficiently
- Sand, paint, and finish vehicle surfaces to restore appearance and protect against corrosion
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Perform quality inspections on completed work to ensure customer satisfaction
- Keep detailed records of repairs performed for each vehicle
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or automotive repair background
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle structures and systems
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and chisels
- Experience using power tools for bodywork and repairs
- Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform physically demanding tasks
- Familiarity with automotive repair procedures and techniques
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
