Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth kitchen operations, maintaining high standards of food safety, and delivering excellent food service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks to support the kitchen team
- Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment through proper dishwashing procedures
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support the serving staff by providing timely and quality food service
- Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a safe dining environment
- Assist in organizing kitchen supplies and stock levels to ensure smooth operations during shifts
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration
- Willingness to learn new skills related to cooking and food safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
