Server/Barista (Vancouver)

Railtown Café is hiring!
We are looking for a motivated and friendly part-time Server/Barista to join our team.
We are looking for hard-working individuals that enjoy the service industry, excel in a fast paced environment, and take pride in their work. Experience in hospitality, and working knowledge of commercial espresso machine is recommended. Responsibilities:
- Deliver amazing customer service, and represent the brand!
- Genuinely connect with every customer to develop professional relationships with our guests
- Complete daily and weekly tasks assigned by management
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and management
- Maintain up to date knowledge of the menu items and able to operate POS system efficiently
- Ensure company standards are met, report concerns directly to the assistant manager
- Operate, maintain and properly clean café equipment, including espresso machine, coffee maker, grinder, bar fridge, shelving, freezers, and bar taps
- Maintaining overall café cleanliness
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- High school education or higher preferred
- Experience using a commercial espresso machine is recommended
- Experience in the hospitality industry is recommended
- Serving- It- Right certification is mandatory
- Must be highly motivated with great multi-tasking ability
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent written and spoken English required
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Detail oriented, ability to perform tasks in a timely manner
- Clover or equivalent Point of Sale (POS) knowledge is required
Schedule: 15 - 25 hours per week depending on availability
