Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The candidate will have 2+ experience in both interior and exterior residential painting, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all projects meet our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint using a brush, roller, or sprayer.
- Read and interpret work orders and specifications to follow the scope of work.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in the painting process.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed to ensure the highest quality finish.
- Willing/able to work indoors, outdoors, on a ladder and around odours
- Attention to detail, hand-eye co-ordination
- Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, repetitive work
- Able to lift 50lbs
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in residential painting and/or construction painting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the painting profession.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
Terms:
-Full and part-time available (please specify your preference)
-2 half Saturdays of work a month (June-August)
-Occasional overtime, evening, and out-of-town work (Bonuses paid for out of town work)
-6 month probation
-Starting pay will be based on a painting skills assessment (and increases based on a regular assessments)
