Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging educational activities. You will play a vital role in shaping their early learning experiences, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported in their growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in various domains including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Educate children through play-based activities that encourage exploration and creativity.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and behaviour.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the educational program and share best practices.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
- Utilize computer operation skills for administrative tasks, including lesson planning and record keeping.
Requirements
- Valid BC ECE License
- Valid First Aid.
- 2 years experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
- Proficiency in English for clear communication with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to write detailed reports on children's progress and classroom activities.
- Familiarity with educational technology to enhance teaching methods is a plus.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their development.
