Job Summary
Tremblay Law Group is a law firm with offices in North Bay and Sturgeon Falls, specializing in Real Estate, Commercial, Criminal, Civil Litigation, Family, Construction and Estate Law matters. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Civil Litigation Legal Assistant/Law Clerk to support our legal team. This role involves providing administrative support, conducting legal research, drafting documents, and managing case files. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent writing and proofreading abilities, and familiarity with legal research tools. Duties
- Assist attorneys with legal research.
- Draft and review legal documents, correspondence, and filings with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proofread legal documents to ensure correctness and consistency.
- Manage case files, including organizing, filing, and maintaining electronic and paper records.
- Perform data entry tasks related to case management systems.
- Conduct interviews and gather information from clients or witnesses as needed.
- Support project management activities related to ongoing cases or legal projects.
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining calendars.
- Ensure compliance with filing deadlines and court procedures.
- Maintain high standards of phone etiquette and professional communication.
Experience
- Prior administrative experience in civil litigation is preferred.
- Familiarity with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and legal drafting skills.
- Experience with project management tools or techniques is advantageous.
- Proficiency in data entry, filing systems, and clerical tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with team members.

Pay: $35,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
