Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations and front end at our bustling dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety and quality standards, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests, as well as serving, and leading by example. A background in food preparation, cooking, and hospitality is essential to successfully lead our team and uphold our reputation for excellence in the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling procedures
- Manage POS systems such as TOAST POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to maintain stock of necessary supplies
- Implement and uphold restaurant policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure a positive dining experience
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process for new team members
- Manage scheduling to optimize staffing levels during peak hours while controlling labor costs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff
- Collaborate with kitchen staff on food quality control and menu consistency
- Deliver an outstanding experience to all guests.
- Be self-motivated to address the necessities of the restaurant with a keen and caring eye.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience with POS systems such as TOAST POS or similar platforms
- Supervising experience within a food service or restaurant setting
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Demonstrated team management abilities including training, motivating, and developing staff
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and health standards in the food industry
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Previous hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Hospitality background with experience in serving or restaurant operations preferred
Pay: From $57,000.00 per year
