Assignment:
- Part-time 0.872 FTE Educational Assistant position
- Duties to commence August 26, 2026 and will continue for the remainder of the 2026/2027 school year
- The ideal candidate will have skills and experience supporting students with diverse leaning and behavioral needs including ASD, ADHD, ODD, complex behavioral challenges and academic learning difficulties in a junior high classroom setting
Qualifications and/or Assets:
- Highly skilled and experienced working with students with severe complex needs

Student centered approach with a proven ability to build positive trusting relationships with students, staff and families

Ability to take initiative, have sound judgement, and an ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations are essential
- Collaborative team player who is committed to helping every student succeed

Ability to contribute to a positive, caring, inclusive, and supportive school culture
- Experience and/or training as an Educational Assistant
- Patience and experience supporting students with complex learning and behavioral needs.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training would be considered an asset

Experience and/or training in a Junior High School setting
- Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment
- Flexibility to work in a variety of programs
