Job Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role of the Machine Operator is to ensure that the assigned tasks are completed within the prescribed time frame while respecting the procedures and standards in effect. Autonomous and responsible, he/she must also be able to function with a minimum of supervision and be able to work in a team environment.
Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate various types of machinery
- Set up & disassemble filling machine
- Control/adjust machine settings
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Maintain activity logs, following SOP’s
- Work on the process - filling or packaging of products;
- Ensure finished goods are accurately labelled and packaged in accordance with finished product procedures
- Wash equipment and maintain work environment;
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other related tasks required by the position.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma (DES) or other relevant training;
- Ability to lift weights of approximately 20 kilos (50 lbs);
- Experience working in a production environment, an asset
- Fluent in English and French, an asset
- Have a good knowledge of industrial safety standards;
