Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Plasma Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating plasma cutting equipment to precisely cut and shape metal components according to technical specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, safety compliance, and efficient workflow. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate plasma cutting machines, ensuring accurate cuts based on detailed blueprints and technical drawings
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to determine proper machine settings and procedures
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of plasma cutters and related machinery to maintain optimal performance
- Use hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices for quality inspection and precise measurements of finished parts
- Collaborate with team members on assembly processes, ensuring parts meet quality standards before final assembly
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Document production data, machine settings, and inspection results accurately for quality control records
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC laser cutting, CNC programming, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, and press brake machines
- Experience with welding techniques and mechanical knowledge for assembly tasks
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely within a manufacturing setting
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, basic math skills, and quality inspection procedures
- Familiarity with hand tools, calipers, and other measurement instruments for precise machining
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, and quality assurance standards
- Excellent mechanical aptitude combined with attention to detail for consistent production quality
