We are recruiting for a Live In Personal Support Worker to assist a private male employer with Spinal Cord Injury with all activities of daily living.
Client is able to direct his own care and is looking for someone who is open and able to follow instructions.
Housing will be included for this position.
Location:
- Richmond (Near Steveston Community Centre)
Shifts & Hours of Work:
- Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 24 hour shifts
- from 6:00am-6:00am following day
- Friday
- from 6:00am-10:00pm
- With 32 hours of rest hours per week
- There will be a second caregiver to work weekdays dayshifts and weekends evening/overnight shifts
Compensation:
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)
Daytime:
- Personal care such as bowel routine and showering and bed baths, catheter care and peri-care
- Personal hygiene such as teeth cleaning and skin care
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Meal Preparation for breakfast and lunch '
- Assisted feeding and Hydration when needed
- Transfer using Ceiling Lift
- Repositioning throughout the day
- Medication Administration
- Kitchen/Bathroom Cleanup, light housekeeping
- Therapeutic Exercises with bike
- Shopping and errands as needed
Evening and Overnight Care Needs:
- Dinner Preparation
- Medication administration
- Transfers to bed, suctioning, and hydration
- Repositioning as needed
Housing will Include:
- No rent
- Free household amenities (water, heat, internet)
- Your own private room & bathroom

Required Qualifications:
- Willingness to undergo PROP Course
- Respiratory care experience - willing to be trained and taught
- Experience with Ceiling Transfers preferred
- Able to follow instruction and direction from employer
