Sous Chef

We are a rapidly growing food production and culinary company seeking multiple Sous Chefs to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for creative, food-driven professionals who enjoy experimenting, developing menus, and working in a high-volume environment with strong long-term growth potential.
Position Overview
The Sous Chef plays a key leadership and creative role within our kitchen. In addition to supporting daily production and staff oversight, this position is actively involved in menu development, recipe testing, and product innovation. We are looking for candidates who are inspired by food, enjoy experimenting, and want to grow with a company that promotes from within.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and oversee daily kitchen and production operations
- Lead and assist kitchen staff with training, organization, and workflow
- Participate in menu development, recipe creation, and product testing
- Maintain consistent food quality, portioning, and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace standards
- Assist with inventory control, prep planning, and production efficiency
- Contribute creative ideas to improve menus, processes, and systems
Schedule & Work-Life Balance
- 4-day work week (10-hour shifts)
- Possible schedules include:
- Monday–Thursday
- Tuesday–Friday
- Wednesday–Sunday
- Flexible scheduling for the right candidate
- Regular long weekends off
- Overtime available
Qualifications & Assets
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Lead Cook, or senior kitchen role
- Creativity and passion for food experimentation are strong assets
- Experience in large-volume production, banquets, or catering is a major asset and will be prioritized during interviews
- Strong leadership, organization, and time-management skills
- Food Safe certification is an asset but not required (training provided)
- Reliable, professional, and growth-oriented mindset
