Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter with experience in surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and protective coatings application. The ideal candidate will have experience working on structural steel, tanks, piping systems, and industrial facilities, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and coating specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform abrasive blasting and industrial coating applications in accordance with project specifications
- Apply coatings including epoxies, polyurethanes, zinc systems, and specialized industrial coatings
- Prepare surfaces using power tools, blasting equipment, and cleaning methods
- Read and interpret coating specifications, technical data sheets, and inspection requirements
- Ensure coating application meets NACE / SSPC / manufacturer standards
- Maintain and operate spray equipment, blasting equipment, and coating tools
- Complete required quality control documentation and inspection reports
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site protocols
- Work collaboratively with project supervisors, inspectors, and team members
Qualifications
- NACE Level 1 Coating Certification (preferred)
- SSPC / AMPP coatings training considered an asset
- 3+ years industrial painting or blasting experience
- Experience applying high-performance industrial coatings
- Knowledge of surface preparation standards (SSPC / NACE)
- Ability to work in industrial environments, confined spaces, and elevated work areas
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work overtime or travel to project sites if required

- Confined Space Certification
- Fall Protection Certification
- CSTS / H2S Alive / First Aid
- Experience with plural component spray equipment
