Typical Duties
- Must have extensive road, waterworks, and sewer construction experience
- Be able to coordinate construction activities for a project and ensure activities are executed in a safe, healthy, environmentally responsible and efficient manner
- Strength in identifying needs and deficiencies in looking ahead at the plan/schedule and communicating these to the appropriate persons
- Experience in overseeing the execution of the work, including quality and production, by ensuring that the crews work to job specifications and follow drawings
- Must be able to collaborate with Superintendent/Project Managers as to equipment needs, job procedures, manpower needs, job scope changes, or any issues that arise on the job site.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, plans and specifications.
- Extensive knowledge of the materials and equipment required in mainline water & sewer projects
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a construction leadership role
- Construction Health & Safety knowledge and experience
- Time management and organization skills
- Effective problem solving and decision making skills
- Positive and professional attitude
- A self-motivated personality that can be successful independently and in a team environment
