We are seeking a Fermentation Specialist with expertise in anaerobic and aerobic fermentation to lead process development, optimization, and scale-up of microbial fermentation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms in controlled fermentation environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and scale-up anaerobic and aerobic fermentation processes for microbial growth, metabolite production, and biomass yield.
- Develop and maintain fermentation protocols, including media preparation, inoculation, and bioreactor operation.
- Monitor and analyze fermentation parameters (pH, temperature, DO, agitation, gas composition) to ensure optimal growth conditions.
- Troubleshoot and refine fermentation processes to improve productivity, yield, and cost efficiency.
- Work with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality control, and production, to support commercialization.
- Document and analyze experimental data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, biosafety protocols, and GMP standards.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s or PhD in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Fermentation Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in fermentation process development, ideally in both anaerobic and aerobic conditions.
- Experience operating and optimizing bioreactors and fermentation equipment.
- Strong knowledge of microbial metabolism, growth kinetics, and metabolic engineering.
- Ability to troubleshoot fermentation challenges and implement process improvements.
- Experience in downstream processing, purification, and product formulation is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
