Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Junior GIS Developer to lead our GIS/SaaS development team and help shape the next generation of our web‑mapping applications. This position is based out of our North Vancouver, BC office.

Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for a Junior GIS Developer will include, but are not limited to:

Creating, testing and reviewing ArcGIS Online maps and apps

Publishing and maintaining ArcGIS Server web services
-
Using Python, SQL, or other scripting language to develop tools and perform tasks

Spatial data management
-
Managing incoming field collected data from clients and staff

Converting, importing, managing, and manipulating data from a variety of sources
-
Performing QA/QC tasks to ensure GIS data integrity
-
Troubleshooting issues related to GIS and web-based mapping systems.
Qualifications:
-
Formal education in GIS with a background in Geography, Computer Science, or other relevant area.

A minimum of one (1) year of GIS experience working on web-mapping projects

Experience developing tools on the Esri or QGIS platforms

Relational database experience, especially with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, will be considered an asset

Experience programming and scripting using Python, SQL, JavaScript, or Arcade

Excellent data management and cartographic skills

Strong reasoning and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail

Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to customer service

Legally authorized to work in Canada.
Compensation:
-
The pay range for this position is $30- $35 per hour; pay will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
