Position Overview
We are seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist with experience or a strong interest in hand therapy to join our team on a part-time maternity leave contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced hand therapists while managing a rewarding caseload of upper extremity injuries and conditions. Whether you already have hand therapy experience or are looking to further develop your skills in this specialty, we offer a collaborative environment with mentorship and ongoing professional support.
What You'll Do
- Assess and treat patients with hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity injuries and conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practice
- Fabricate and fit custom orthoses as required
- Educate patients on injury management, rehabilitation, and return to work or daily activities
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Experience in hand therapy preferred
- Experience with custom orthotic fabrication is considered a strong asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care
