We are seeking an experienced SAT English and/or Math Instructor to support students in preparing for the Digital SAT exam.
The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in SAT content, experienced in standardized test preparation, and passionate about helping students achieve their target scores and academic goals.
This is a freelance / independent contractor position, not a full-time teaching role.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality instruction in SAT English (Reading & Writing) and/or SAT Math
- Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring sessions tailored to each student's needs
- Develop customized lesson plans based on student proficiency levels and target scores
- Teach effective test-taking strategies, time management, and problem-solving techniques
- Assign and review homework, practice tests, and targeted exercises
- Assess student performance and identify areas for improvement
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
- Prepare brief progress reports as needed
- Maintain clear communication regarding scheduling and student updates
- Stay current with Digital SAT format, content, and scoring trends
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (Education, Mathematics, English, or related field preferred)
- Strong proficiency in SAT English and/or Math content
- Prior experience teaching SAT, PSAT, ACT, or similar standardized tests is highly preferred
- Demonstrated track record of helping students improve test scores
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
- Reliable, professional, and able to manage time independently
- Comfortable working in a freelance/contract-based environment
Preferred Qualifications
- High personal SAT score or equivalent academic credentials
- Experience working with high school students applying to competitive colleges and universities
- Ability to teach both SAT English and Math sections is a strong asset
- Experience with both in-person and online instruction
- Familiarity with Digital SAT resources and adaptive testing strategies

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
