Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive food preparation skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a vital part of our restaurant management, the Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality standards
- Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, including cooks and food handlers, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision, creativity, and consistency in food presentation
- Oversee food safety procedures, proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices to meet health regulations
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimize waste
- Train new staff on kitchen procedures, food preparation techniques, and safety protocols
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and ensure all equipment is properly maintained
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of professional experience
- Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Familiarity with restaurant management practices and kitchen operations
- Excellent communication skills and ability to serve as a role model for staff members
- Prior experience in the food industry with a focus on high-quality service delivery

Pay: $55,000.00 per year
