The Bubble is an entirely new entertainment concept brought to you by the founders of Rinx Toronto & Playtime Bowl & Entertainment. The Bubble entertainment zone spans over 25,000 square feet and features a 10,000-square-foot inflatable theme park, over 50 arcade games with a redemption prize store, a suspended net course, and a snack bar. The Bubble specializes in hosting group events including kids' birthday parties, social gatherings, school and camp groups, as well as adult and corporate events.
The Bubble is looking for a Supervisor to assist with the management and future growth of the business. The successful candidate will support the General Manager while providing leadership, supervision, and direction on strategic initiatives and operating standards to positively impact business results.
Guest and Team Member Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver an unparalleled guest experience through the best combination of games, food, and drinks in an ideal environment for celebrating fun.
- Ensure all of The Bubble's work culture, standards, policies, and procedures are followed by Team Members, leading to the highest level of guest satisfaction.
- Assist with the development of the venue's hourly Team Members while adhering to training procedures and standards.
- Ensure all special events and parties are executed to The Bubble's standards with respect to setup, presentation, staffing levels, service expectations, and food quality.
Sales and Marketing Responsibilities Include:
- Be an onsite Brand Ambassador for The Bubble by being knowledgeable about all of The Bubble's offerings, including activities, food menus, and special promotions.
- Assist with the development of store marketing initiatives, including promotional programs and campaigns geared toward walk-in guests, corporate and adult groups, and kids' events.
Financial Management Responsibilities Include:
- Ensure systems are in place and followed for all cost controls and inventories, including Food & Beverage and Redemption Arcade supplies.
- Monitor labour costs and the venue scheduling process to ensure budget goals are met while maintaining appropriate staffing levels to deliver a quality guest experience.
- Provide input into the venue's short- and long-term plans for revenue growth and cost control initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in a high-volume retail, high-traffic bar, restaurant, entertainment centre, or similar venue.
- Basic knowledge of HR practices within the hospitality industry, including labour and health codes.
- Ability to lead, develop, and train a staff of 50+ Team Members.
- Ability to analyze and interpret customer needs and provide appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
- Must be available to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
- Required to work hospitality hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
