We are seeking a motivated Sales & Business Development Representative to grow our customer base, develop new business opportunities, and manage sales activities in the field.
Position Overview
The Sales & Business Development Representative will be responsible for generating sales of residential and commercial windows through direct customer visits, contractor and builder relationships, project consultations, referrals, and other business development activities.
This position is ideal for a self-motivated sales professional who enjoys meeting customers in person, understanding project requirements, preparing solutions, and building long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new residential and commercial sales opportunities.
- Conduct field visits with contractors, builders, architects, designers, renovators, property managers, developers, and commercial clients.
- Maintain and grow long-term customer relationships that generate repeat and referral business.
- Meet with customers to understand project requirements, timelines, budgets, and product preferences.
- Present window products, features, benefits, installation options, and project solutions.
- Prepare estimates, quotes, proposals, and sales presentations.
- Follow up on leads, quotations, site visits, and active opportunities in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, architects, designers, property managers, and other industry contacts.
- Prospect for new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, industry events, and in-person visits.
- Attend job sites to review project conditions, measurements, access requirements, and installation considerations.
- Coordinate with estimating, operations, installation, and customer service teams to support successful project delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, quotes, and sales activity.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, customer needs, and industry trends.
- Negotiate pricing and terms within approved company guidelines.
- Meet or exceed sales, revenue, margin, and customer-acquisition targets.
- Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the sales process.
- Represent the company professionally and promote a positive customer experience.
- Follow all company policies, workplace safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience in field sales, outside sales, business development, or account management.
- Experience in windows, doors, construction, building materials, renovations, millwork, glazing, or a related industry is an asset.
- Proven ability to generate leads, develop relationships, and close sales.
- Strong customer service, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to understand and explain technical product information.
- Comfortable visiting residential and commercial job sites.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow-ups simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, email, and mobile sales tools.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.

- Work may involve exposure to construction environments, including uneven surfaces, noise, dust, and changing weather conditions.
- Some lifting, climbing stairs, and walking through job sites may be required.
