Accounts Administration Assistant

Our growing, international marketing and advertising company is looking for a full- time, Accounts Administration Assistant.
We are seeking a highly organized, self driven & motivated individual who works well in a team environment, is detail oriented with excellent numeracy, accounting and communication skills. You will work in cohesion with our Financial Controller to support, assist, prepare, apply and oversee general accounting requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Accounts Payable payments for various types of businesses and clients
- Follow up on Accounts Receivable payments from our global clients and apply to the sales ledger
- Monitor AR and AP on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Prepare GST/PST sales tax & other compliance returns.
- Oversee a variety of account engagements such as maintaining company property, vehicle and personal insurance policies with adequate coverages
- Providing written employment contracts under direction of our Financial Controller. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of legal documents, record keeping and preparing associated new hire administration
- Keep QuickBooks application up to date and accurate, provide efficient payables and apply receivables in a timely manner
- Utilize technology to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
What you bring to the role:
3-5 years accounting experience
- Excellent organizational skills, time management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal, numerical and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently, with little supervision and within a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal service skills with an aptitude to maintain close working relationship with Financial Controller.
- Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of accounting service and professionalism in the performance of duties.
Requirements:
· Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and QuickBooks Desktop Expert
· Excellent accounting knowledge and capable of preparing journal entries for various business transactions.
· Excellent organizational and planning skills.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Self-motivated and great eagerness to learn.
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
