About Us
The Apotex Centre for the Aged is Baycrest’s long-term care home. At Baycrest, we believe every older adult deserves care that honours who they are as an individual. Our care teams work closely with residents, families and caregivers to provide personalized support in a safe and compassionate environment.
The Apotex Therapeutic Recreation team helps long-term care residents enjoy meaningful and satisfying recreational experiences. Recreationists assess each resident’s strengths, interests and goals to design activities that support independence and well-being. We also adapt activities to meet individual needs so everyone can participate. We work closely with other departments to create a holistic and engaging recreational experience.
