Located at 1121 97 Ave, Dawson Creek, BC V1G 1N5, this full-time permanent position offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, ensuring 40 hours per week with no weekend shifts.
Why this role matters
The Customer Service - Counter Sales acts as the primary point of contact for incoming branch customers. They will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by interpreting customer needs, troubleshooting issues, ensuring order accuracy, and recommending products and solutions. Other duties performed as needed include order assembly, packing and shipping, receiving, stock keeping, warehouse maintenance, equipment operation, inventory management, shipment processing, and support with priority orders or customer inquiries.
What to expect in the role
Attention to detail. This role requires precise entry of orders into our ERP system, along with careful review of stock and accurate order assembly.
Customer service oriented. Providing excellent customer service is essential, as the role involves maintaining and building customer relationships through sales support.
Ability to multitask. You will be expected to manage multiple customer requests at once and meet competing deadlines.
Strong communicator. Clear verbal and written communication is required when interacting with customers and collaborating with colleagues.
Highly organized. Strong organizational skills are necessary to manage a high volume of customer requests and adapt to frequent interruptions.
Comfortable with technology. You will use phones, computers, and internal systems to assist customers and support daily operations.
Warehouse responsibilities. Other duties as needed include general warehouse support such as order preparation, shipping and receiving activities, inventory upkeep, equipment use, and assisting with urgent orders or customer needs.
Ideal candidate profile
Knowledge of E.B. Horsman & Son products and services is an asset.
2+ years of customer service experience is an asset.
2+ years of experience in the electrical industry or a related field is an asset.
Previous warehouse operations experience, including shipping and receiving, is an asset.
Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office and the ability to learn new software.
Ability to work inclusively, collaboratively, and respectfully with others.
Strong basic mathematical skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
