We are currently seeking a hardworking, safety-conscious Paint & Prep Laborer to join our Assembly & Paint team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industrial painting, manufacturing, or fabrication experience who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will support our painting and coating operations by preparing equipment, assisting with paint application processes, moving finished products, and helping maintain a safe and efficient workflow. Assist with industrial painting and coating operations.

Prepare surfaces, materials, and equipment for painting.
-
Mix paints, coatings, and related products using automated paint-mixing equipment.
-
Monitor paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality through visual inspection.
-
Operate painting-related machinery and auxiliary equipment.
-
Transfer completed products to drying and storage areas using carts, hoists, and cranes.
-
Position and secure materials and workpieces using appropriate equipment and tools.
-
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
-
Measure, test, and verify products against specifications.
-
Label and identify materials with job numbers and piece marks.
-
Complete production records and quality documentation accurately.
-
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.

Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
-
Identify and report equipment issues, hazards, and unsafe conditions.
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
-
Follow lockout/tagout procedures and safe equipment operating practices.
-
Work collaboratively with coworkers across departments.
-
Support production goals and deadlines.
-
Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Assist with other duties as required.

Minimum Grade 10 education (High School preferred).
-
2-3 years of experience in industrial painting, manufacturing, fabrication, or a related environment.

Experience working with coatings, paints, surface preparation, or production processes is considered an asset.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, drawings, and specifications.

Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and equipment.

Basic computer and math skills.

Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and may include:

Exposure to paint fumes, airborne particles, and industrial chemicals.

Exposure to heat and varying temperatures.

Moderate to high noise levels.

Overtime and shift work as required.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and lifting.

Ability to safely climb ladders and work at heights when required.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Ability to work in confined spaces when necessary.
