Overview
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing high-quality dishes and maintaining food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent food service to our guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are equally valued.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Handle food safely, adhering to all food handling and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with food plating and garnishing to ensure attractive presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Support the team during busy service hours by managing multiple tasks effectively
- Follow all safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Excellent teamwork skills and positive attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if required
