We are looking for motivated and hardworking Iron Workers / Rod Busters to join our construction team. Whether you have experience or are looking to start your career in the construction industry, we encourage you to apply. We provide opportunities to learn on the job while working on a variety of building projects involving structural steel, rebar, concrete reinforcement, and other construction tasks. Duties
- Install structural steel frameworks, rebar, and metal supports under the guidance of experienced team members.
- Assist with concrete forming, reinforcement, and finishing tasks.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely (training provided as needed).
- Help load, unload, and move construction materials and equipment.
- Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions (training available for beginners).
- Assist with welding, masonry, flooring installation, and other construction activities as required.
- Work safely at construction sites while following company safety procedures and building codes.
- Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
- Perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when required.
Qualifications
- Previous construction, ironworking, or rebar experience is an asset but not required.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials.
- Comfortable working outdoors and at construction sites.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is an asset.
- Ability to read blueprints is a plus but can be learned on the job.
- Safety-conscious with a commitment to following workplace safety procedures.
