Amberson High School is a private high school located in Markham, fully accredited by the Ontario Ministry of Education. We offer Grade 9-12 credit courses, various academic support methods, and a student-based extra-curricular system.
In addition to academic courses, we also offer IELTS courses to students who are new to Canada. Under our guidance and support, our students have been admitted to many top universities around the world.
We are currently seeking long-term part-time IELTS instructors to join our IELTS department. Serious candidates are encouraged to apply via Indeed or email.
Responsibilities
- Create lesson plans and course materials to improve student English (Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing) and familiarity with the IELTS test
- Accommodate student needs at various English levels
- Monitor student progress and student success, adapt to student abilities
Requirements
- Previous IELTS teaching experience strongly preferred
- Previous ESL teaching experience an asset
- Familiarity with the IELTS test, its requirements, test format, techniques and approaches
- Well demonstrated classroom management abilities, organization, timeliness, communication, and patience
