Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing exceptional guest experiences and possess a strong understanding of food service operations. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in hospitality and food service. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Follow proper food handling procedures and uphold sanitation protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient restaurant operations during busy periods
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order entry and payment processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and change calculation
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred; hospitality background is a plus
- Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Good communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and guests seamlessly
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
