Alggin Metal Industries Ltd. is looking for Machine Operators who are eager and interested in sheet metal manufacturing work environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and review work order specifications to be performed
- Properly set-up and safely operate machine to fabricate sheet metal products
- Shape and form materials using different hand tools
- Check products for product standards and customer specifications, ensuring quality before signing-off
- Communicate with Shop Foreman or Lead Hand any issues or concerns concerning product or quality
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs, and communicate with Shop Foreman or Lead Hand any issues on machine repair and maintenance
- Operate forklift for material handling purposes
- Ensure proper recording of time in the timekeeping system
- Ensure compliance to health and safety procedures
- Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures
Experience
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively is an advantage.
