About the role:
In this role, you will design and deliver engaging training programs, learning materials, and communications that support employee development, operational excellence, and business objectives. You will partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to identify training needs, develop learning strategies, and drive continuous improvement through effective instructional design and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
In this role you will:
- Design and create bulletin communications (internal) relative to GMF policies and best practices.
- Develop and prepare internal training materials, content and communications (reference guides, job aids, etc.) while adhering to GMF departmental and corporate policies and company branding
- Provide input and recommendations to a variety of teams on design, customization and development of new courses and job aids.
- Utilize learning techniques, activities and practical exercises to enhance understanding.
- Apply adult learning techniques, activities, and practical exercises to maximize learner engagement and retention.
- Create and maintain standardized job aids and learning resources that are compliant with company and department policies and best practices.
- Conduct training sessions for new and tenured employees where required and develop and evaluate training outcomes.
- Works closely with leadership and team members from a variety of departments to create and improve standard processes and assess training needs, including analysis of departmental functions.
- Acquires a variety of job related skills related to company roles and positions.
- Participate in projects requiring the development or revisions of training content and performance support material.
- Maintain current knowledge of company policies to align training with organizational objectives.
- Define desired learner outcomes and behaviours in accordance with organizational strategies and objectives.
- Support external training department with Dealer invoicing and payment tracking, along with Dealer enquiries.

- Good verbal and written communication, customer service, time management, negotiation, typing, and data entry skills.
- Mathematical skills necessary to arrange payment plans and calculate past due amounts.
- Keyboarding skills and ability to multi-task when speaking with customers.
- Basic computer skills, including, but not limited to, Windows and the Internet.
- Skills necessary to operate various pieces of office equipment, such as but not limited to, fax machines, copy machines, and etc.
- Self-motivator while actively participating in a team environment.
- Ability to control conversation with customer.
Ability to utilize open-ended questioning tactics to maximize information gathering.

Additional Knowledge and Skills
Working effectively within an AI enabled environment:
- Ability to use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work.
- Skills in evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
- Experience integrating AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights.
- Familiarity with AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation.
Understanding of responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection.

Education & Work Experience
- Secondary School - required.
- Bachelors - preferred.
- Experience in automotive financial segment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- 2-4 years intense training/classroom experience preferred.
- Experience with variety of people skills/communications effectiveness-training programs preferred.
Experience applying adult education methods preferred.

The base range for this role is: $61,000-$90,000.
At GM Financial, we strive for transparency in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
