Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Gravel Truck Driver with a Class 3 license and airbrakes endorsement to operate heavy-duty trucks in construction and residential environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting gravel and other materials to various job sites, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and construction site protocols, contributing to the efficiency and safety of our operations.
Duties
- Safely operate gravel trucks equipped with airbrakes, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
- Transport gravel, dirt, and other construction materials to designated locations on time.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members regarding delivery schedules and site conditions.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure personal safety and that of coworkers on-site.
Skills
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license with airbrakes endorsement required.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and pavers is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment and transportation in construction environments.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in physically demanding conditions.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and site personnel.
Candidates should be committed to maintaining high standards of operation while supporting the successful completion of projects.
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
